The data scientist role in their Global Ranking and Recommendations team aims to improve customer experiences and drive growth through data-driven insights.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Generate insights from data regarding customers, products, and recommendation techniques.
• Develop and implement new data products to enhance recommendation systems.
• Translate high-level requirements into actionable problem statements.
• Collaborate with Senior Data Scientists and Product Specialists to identify data needs.
• Optimize and deploy models with the help of Data Engineers and MLOps.
• Scale algorithms for global application across multiple brands.
• Work with structured and semi-structured data from diverse sources.
• Contribute to innovative projects within a fast-paced tech organization.

This role requires you to have:

• 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning and Statistics applications.
• Excel in modeling business problems using machine learning techniques.
• Proficiency in writing maintainable code and using Git for version control.
• Eagerness to deploy models for real customer feedback.
• Mastery of Python and its scientific libraries (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn).
• Experience with recommendation or ranking systems.
• Ability to write SQL queries.

You would benefit from having:

• Experience in solving problems related to recommendation & ranking systems.
• Experience deploying models to live traffic with ML engineers and MLOps.
• Knowledge of Deep Learning models and Natural Language Processing.
• Familiarity with running code in containers and environments like Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Google Cloud Platform.
