In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for large datasets
- Integrate data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse or data lake ensuring quality and consistency
- Design and optimize ETL processes for clean and accurate data
- Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support BI and data analytics needs
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to meet data requirements
- Implement data governance policies ensuring data privacy, security, and compliance
- Create and maintain technical documentation for data processes
- Develop engaging dashboards and reports
- Advance the BI and analytics architecture innovatively

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience as Data Engineer
- Hands-on experience in data integration, ETL processes, and data pipeline development
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and programming (Python, Java, Scala)
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools like Snowpipe, Matillion, Apache Kafka
- Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses
- Experience in data modeling (e.g., Kimball, Data Vault 2.0)
- Experience with Git in a DevOps environment
- Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and governance
- Basic experience with Data Science, MLOps, or LLMs
- Effective communication skills
- Fluent in English and good communication in German
