In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop and implement cutting-edge data and AI products utilizing traditional Machine Learning and generative AI techniques.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of ML/GenAI models on the Google Cloud Platform from design through deployment and optimization.
• Lead an interdisciplinary team technically as a subject matter expert, establishing best practices in Data Science, Machine Learning, and MLOps.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and assess AI product potentials and implement concrete solutions.
• Ensure smooth operation, optimization of AI systems, and stay abreast of technology advancements.

This role requires you to have:

• Extensive experience in the development and operationalization of data and AI products, with hands-on knowledge in GenAI.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, engineering, and ML/GenAI model development.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Run, and with Terraform.
• Deep understanding and practical experience in managing ML models' lifecycle using modern MLOps practices.
• Team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Exceptional analytical skills, structured work habits, and a proactive approach to complex problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and ideally German.
