Strategic Business Systems (SBS) is seeking a skilled Data Storage Administration/Engineer to join their team in Wiesbaden, Germany, supporting a federal government contract. The position involves maintaining and developing storage solutions for the customer, ensuring high performance and reliability. As part of the team, the candidate will use their expertise to support and expand storage technologies, aligning with evolving mission needs.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot SAN and NAS storage/archiving services.
- Manage storage solutions using NetApp and Cisco MDS fabric switches.
- Schedule and manage snapshots and use replication techniques for disaster recovery.
- Adapt storage solutions to meet evolving mission requirements and technological advancements.
- Provide core hour support for storage engineering services.
- Configure and troubleshoot SAN and NAS systems to ensure compatibility with current and future solutions.
- Plan and manage the installation and tuning of SAN and storage hardware/software.

This role requires you to have:
- Experience with Cisco MDS and NetApp technology, including ONTAP.
- Familiarity with Windows 2012/2016 server.
- Experience with TCP/IP networks.
- UNIX or Microsoft server-based platforms.
- Enterprise network monitoring and reporting software.
You would benefit from having:
