Senior Data Engineer for Danica Data Products

Danica, a part of the Danske Bank group and a leading pension provider in Denmark, is advancing its strategy with a focus on Data Products and AI. The role exists to enhance their data capabilities, working towards establishing reliable data insights for various business areas like pensions and insurance. The team, once fully developed, will comprise 10-12 members dedicated to cutting-edge data solutions.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Create data models and pipelines for data flow from source to presentation.
• Establish best data product practices on AWS cloud platform.
• Collaborate with different domains including pensions and insurance for data product utilization.
• Enhance documentation practices with automated governance tool updates.
• Mentor peers in data engineering and promote data products.
• Recommend and integrate new technologies as they mature.
• Ensure alignment with the bank’s data governance, security, and regulatory frameworks.

This role requires you to have:

• 4+ years in Data Engineering or similar roles.
• Proficiency in an ETL programming language, preferably Python.
• Experience with Data Platforms and cloud services, ideally AWS.
• Familiarity with data modelling and design patterns.
• Knowledge of Kafka and streaming technologies.
• Proficient in using CI/CD tools and git for version control.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.

Candidates must be based in Denmark as relocation is not offered. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
