The Novo Nordisk Foundation is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their dedicated Data Department. This role is crucial in providing data insights for the Foundation, engaging in data collection, visualization, and reporting to evaluate the impact of various initiatives. The Data Department is part of the Impact Area, aiming to measure progress toward strategic goals and drive long-term solutions. The Impact Area comprises a team of 17 professionals, fostering collaboration and expertise to make meaningful contributions.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Initiate and lead data projects, such as developing Business Intelligence solutions.
- Mentor and guide colleagues on best data engineering practices.
- Design and implement data pipelines and dimensional models for data warehousing.
- Create and maintain systems for data cleaning and validation.
- Extract and integrate data from multiple databases using advanced queries.
- Collaborate on data processing and analysis to support organizational insights.
- Stay updated with trends in data engineering and analytics.

This role requires you to have:
- Data transformation/ETL
- Python
- SQL
- Azure tools (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric)
- Experience with Jupyter Notebook or R Studio
- Strong communication skills
