Pandora, the world's largest jewellery brand, is expanding its Data & Analytics capabilities by hiring a Data Engineer. This role supports the global data platform initiative to enhance business verticals through data-driven solutions. Collaborating with a diverse team, the engineer will play a crucial role in developing scalable data products to drive business transformation.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product teams to design scalable and efficient data products.
  • Partner with product managers to develop features supporting business cases and analytics.
  • Create and maintain high-quality data pipeline architectures.
  • Ingest and automate complex, large datasets.
  • Ensure continuous stability and value delivery of data products.
  • Implement a 'build-once-consume-many' approach for data products.
  • Assist with technical challenges related to data.
  • Adhere to best practices while also innovating.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment as a problem solver.

This role requires you to have:

  • Relevant education in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in data or software engineering with a data focus.
  • Experience with Synapse, ADF, Data Lake, and SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented or functional programming languages like Java, Scala, or Python.
  • Focus on DevOps and CI/CD processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Git.
  • Proficiency in unit testing and relational datasets using SQL.
  • Experience in data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
  • Work experience with cloud providers such as Azure or AWS.
  • Proficient English communication skills.
  • Agile mindset with Scrum experience.

You would benefit from having:

  • Experience with big data tools like Spark and Hadoop.
  • Familiarity with stream-processing systems such as Kafka or Spark Streaming.
