Through the International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO), they aim to provide open, reliable, and actionable data to meet Paris Agreement targets. The role requires integrating diverse data sources to form a robust data platform.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Aggregate and interpret data from diverse sources to create actionable methane-related products.
  • Develop structures and processes for data integration from sources such as remote sensing and measurement campaigns.
  • Conduct intercomparison and validation projects to ensure data quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and authorities to enhance understanding of methane emissions.
  • Support methane science studies and the OGMP2.0 initiative.

    • Recent or pending PhD in relevant disciplines.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience with diverse data sets.
    • Experience with methane emission data.

    You would benefit from having:

    • Familiarity with emissions inventories.
    • Fluency in other languages besides English.
