In this dynamic environment, the Command & Data Handling Engineer will play a key role in defining and implementing engineering directions for the spacecraft's data systems.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Develop and design activities for Command & Data Handling Sub-systems.
- Review and maintain sub-system requirements.
- Define and develop sub-system tests and verification plans.
- Manage subsystem data and processing budgets.
- Design C&DH architectures.
- Test and prove FMECA and FDIR processes.
- Coordinate with teams to define ConOps and ICDs.
- Conduct electrical sub-systems and system level verification tests.
- Collaborate with global Ground segment and operations teams.
- Engage with partners and suppliers for C&DH equipment provision.

This role requires you to have:
- Diploma, bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in electronic or system design for satellites.
- Experience with industry standards like CCSDS, I2C, RS422.
- Understanding of spacecraft missions' C&DH systems.
- Experience in developing test plans for spacecraft avionics.
- Understanding of system engineering & managing requirements.
You would benefit from having:
- FPGA design experience using Verilog/VHDL.
- Python skills for test scripts.
- Experience with GNSS and time synchronisation.
- Understanding of radiation tolerances for Low Earth Orbit.
