Aviva invites skilled Data Engineers to join their innovative Life Data Engineering Team, dedicated to advancing the life insurance sector with cutting-edge data solutions. The role involves working with SQL and Python tools to transform data for numerous business functions, including Data Science and reporting.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Interpret business challenges to build data solutions in the form of data products.
• Collaborate with data scientists to provide data support for business problem-solving.
• Manage regular data load processes and maintain data environments.
• Support data governance to ensure ethical and appropriate data use.
• Engage with other business lines and data engineering functions for shared knowledge and best practices.

This role comes with the following benefits:

• Salary range of £30,000 to £40,000 based on skills and experience.

This role requires you to have:

• Experience with relational database management systems.
• SQL expertise, particularly with SQL Server Management Studio and Snowflake.
• Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes, including SSIS packages and dbt.
• Strong skills in data interrogation and manipulation.

You would benefit from having:

• Experience with tools like DataIku or Informatica PowerCenter.
• Understanding of data modeling techniques tailored for analytical data.
