As a SQL Server Database Developer at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and delivering engineering solutions for the bank's SQL platform. Working as part of a team, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert, supporting stakeholders and collaborating with product owners. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Define and drive the product strategy for the SQL Server
• Adhere to Barclays standards for change control, database security, and patterns
• Lead and define database delivery requirements for Service Improvement Unit initiatives
• Act as the technical point of contact for SQL Server queries
• Be an effective and proactive team member, influencing colleagues within Infrastructure Services
• Deliver processes and documentation for the SQL Server environment

This role requires you to have:

• Expert knowledge of T-SQL development and SQL server (versions 2014, 2016, 2017,2019, 2022)
• Expert development knowledge (C# PowerShell scripting; JSON/API interfaces)
• Solid SDLC experience in DevOps and Agile Development principles

You would benefit from having:

• Experience of working in a highly regulated environment with associated processes and tools
• Good knowledge of standard development and build tools, such as GIT, Jenkins, and Confluence
• Ansible and Python development experience
• Experience in Design and Architecture for automation and cloud/on-prem deployment
