Specialist Data Analyst (Power BI)

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board seeks a Specialist Data Analyst to join their team. This role supports Digital Health and Care Wales, leveraging data to improve healthcare service delivery. The ideal candidate will lead key projects and enhance data analysis capabilities using Microsoft Power tools to meet organizational information needs.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Coordinate the delivery and processing of complex, sensitive data for different directorates and stakeholders.
• Conduct innovative data analyses, producing reports to assess data quality using Power Platform tools.
• Lead corporate-level Power BI usage, quality assurance, and best practices.
• Develop and implement the Assurance Framework for Power BI Development and Publishing.
• Provide data and analytical guidance to internal/external customers and junior staff members.

This role requires you to have:

• Proven IT skills in an analytical capacity.
• Experience in leading projects.

• Knowledge of relational databases and data retrieval using Microsoft SQL.
