DEFRA's Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas) is seeking a Data Analyst to be part of their renowned Epidemiology and Risk Modelling team. The role is essential in providing scientific evidence for aquatic animal health policy in the UK and beyond. The team focuses on assessing and managing health risks from aquatic diseases and invasive species.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Conduct desk-based data analysis to support risk assessments and epidemiological studies.
• Develop risk assessment tools and models for aquatic animal diseases and non-native species.
• Collaborate with national and international colleagues to gather data.
• Effectively communicate and present complex data.
• Manage data according to government standards.
• Contribute to government reports, grant applications, and publications.
