The role includes developing strategic data analytics solutions and mentoring junior analysts, allowing the successful candidate to grow alongside the company.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for complex business challenges independently.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify business needs and design actionable data analytics solutions.
- Enhance and update data documentation and code libraries.
- Innovate analytical techniques to enhance data capabilities.
- Communicate data insights through storytelling and visualization to senior stakeholders.
- Co-lead learning and development for the data community and mentor junior team members.

This role requires you to have:
- Extensive experience in the retail energy sector, specifically with market-wide half-hourly settlement.
- Seven or more years of experience as a senior or principal data analyst.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and curiosity.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms for data pipeline development, ideally with DataBricks.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development processes.
You would benefit from having:
- Proficiency in visualization tools, preferably Tableau.
- Experience with advanced analytics techniques like modeling and segmentation.
- Comfort working in dynamic, empowered environments.
- Strong team collaboration and communication abilities.
- A degree or master's in fields such as statistics or mathematics.
