EDF (UK) is looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join their efforts in enhancing data solutions and quality. This role was established to support the Collections team and is pivotal for the strategic use of the Celonis platform. The team’s mission is to implement innovative software solutions and improve data practices, positioning EDF as a frontrunner in data management.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Decide on data solutions with limited guidance.
- Align data functionalities with the data vision set by the Data & Insight manager.
- Develop high-quality, structured, and optimised code; utilise low-code solutions like Alteryx as needed.
- Adhere to data governance and cataloguing standards and practices.
- Apply data modelling methodologies to ensure data capability aligns with agreed practices.
- Implement new software, particularly Celonis, for operational impact.
- Seek continuous improvement opportunities through retrospectives and coaching.
- Guide current Senior Analysts and Analysts, providing training sessions.
- Participate in skill and knowledge-enhancing training programs.

This role requires you to have:
- Experience in a technical data role with complex data solutions.
- Thorough understanding of data engineering best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL for developing data pipelines and stores.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex concepts and influencing stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage conflicts and obstacles.
