Elsevier, a global leader in information and analytics, is looking for a Lead Data Analyst to join their Analytics and Insights team in the Technology Infrastructure and Operations function. This role involves creating management reports, fostering data governance, and supporting the company’s mission of advancing science and healthcare. The team collaborates with various stakeholders to deliver insights into the technology estate.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Build and automate ETL pipelines using DBT and Python, and integrate data with AWS services like Lambda, S3, and Athena.
- Design and implement dimensional data models for analytics and reporting.
- Create Tableau dashboards and data visualizations to provide insights to operations teams and stakeholders.
- Analyze large datasets with a focus on data integrity and accuracy.
- Lead analytics projects independently, delivering insights and solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish reporting requirements.
- Manage the analytics lifecycle, including discovery, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Mentor and coach team members on ETL and data modeling.

This role requires you to have:
- Experience in a lead role in data analytics or business intelligence.
- Proficiency with DBT, SQL, and relational databases.
- Skills in Python for data analysis and ETL.
- Experience with large datasets and data profiling.
- Dashboard development and visualization skills using Tableau.
- Experience with AWS cloud technologies, including Lambda, S3, and Athena.
- Experience with Git.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with stakeholders.
- Analytical approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
