EMBL, a leader in biological data storage and analysis, is hiring for a Digital Twin Multi-omics Data Scientist. This role, funded by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, involves working on novel projects with the goal of advancing the understanding of rare diseases through the creation of virtual models. The successful candidate will collaborate with teams across EMBL-EBI and Open Targets, handling large datasets and model development.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Process and harmonize multi-omics data from patient cohorts.
• Curate benchmarking datasets for testing models.
• Maintain collaborations with the rare disease and bioinformatics communities.
• Ensure safe data stewardship and open-source availability.
• Scope single-cell multi-omic datasets for model use.
• Evaluate biomodels for healthy and diseased tissues.
• Develop workflows for data processing and curation.

This role requires you to have:

• Degree in medical or biological sciences.
• Experience in data science, biocuration, or bioinformatics.
• Proficiency with transcriptomics and genomics data analysis.
• Strong scripting skills in R or Python.
• Experience in data curation and working with biological databases.
