In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Design and implement cutting-edge AI models like transformers and VAEs for genomic data analysis.
- Evaluate and refine model architectures, optimizing learning strategies and metrics.
- Propose innovative ideas for AI architecture development tailored to biological applications.
- Curate and preprocess diverse genomic datasets from resources like the Human Cell Atlas.
- Collaborate with discovery teams and biologists to align models with biological insights.

This role requires you to have:
- PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related fields.
- Proven AI innovation in publications such as ICLR, NeurIPS, or similar.
- Expertise in AI/ML model training and inference using GPUs.
- Experience with spatial and single-cell data in biological contexts.
- Strong programming skills in Python and knowledge of AWS.
You would benefit from having:
- Experience with TensorFlow/PyTorch
- Ability to translate AI outputs into biological hypotheses
