Senior Data Analyst - London

FDM Group, a business and technology consultancy, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to work with a prominent client in the finance sector. The position, located in London, combines remote and in-person work over a 12-month contract with the potential for extension. The analyst will play a crucial role in collaborating with a dynamic team to drive project success and ensure data privacy and governance.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business partners to define analytical frameworks to support key objectives.
• Develop advanced SQL and Python scripts by connecting to multiple databases.
• Create dashboards using PowerBI and Tableau with data from diverse sources.
• Iterate on data assets and fulfill ad-hoc insight requests.
• Manage data project lifecycles, working with technical and non-technical teams.
• Automate manual data reporting using Excel.
• Document data reporting processes.

This role requires you to have:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in data analysis or data science in the finance industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science, or Economics.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel.
• Strong skills in building PowerBI and Tableau dashboards.
• Experience with AWS Athena and HIVE/Presto.
• Comfort with agile frameworks and project management tools like JIRA.
• Ability to present complex data to stakeholders.

You would benefit from having:

• Experience with statistical techniques and modelling.
• Familiarity with CRM databases like D365.
• Excel VBA Macros.
