In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop scalable data pipelines on cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate in an agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Utilize expertise in Python and SQL to develop data processes.
  • Design and manage relational databases and complex data structures.
  • Deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Engage in all software development lifecycle stages, from design to support.
  • Use scheduling systems like Airflow to manage workflows.
  • Automate deployment and testing in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Write and automate various levels of software tests.

This role requires you to have:

  • Extensive experience in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases and complex queries.
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Proficiency with scheduling systems, particularly Airflow.
  • Basic understanding of Kafka, Spark Streaming, or similar frameworks.
  • Knowledge of the Spark framework in cloud services.

You would benefit from having:

  • Academic background in computer science or STEM.
  • Three years of experience as a back-end or data engineer.
  • Familiarity with table formats like Iceberg.
  • Experience with EMR and Spark.
  • Understanding of RESTful services.
