In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design data models to understand and inform the technical and tactical requirements of football.
• Build supervised models using bespoke data to detect key game aspects.
• Utilize pitch control for creating features that assess on-ball and off-ball actions.
• Develop features from synchronized event-tracking data to evaluate team performance.
• Validate, automate, and monitor quantitative models utilizing statistics and machine learning.

This role requires you to have:

• Professional experience in sport with an understanding of football demands.
• Experience with optical/broadcast tracking data for creating actionable insights.
• Proficiency in R/Python for data processing and modelling.
• Experience with SQL and cloud computing for machine learning automation.
• Understanding of football sufficient to discuss and develop models.
