In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Design data models to understand and inform the technical and tactical requirements of football.
- Build supervised models using bespoke data to detect key game aspects.
- Utilize pitch control for creating features that assess on-ball and off-ball actions.
- Develop features from synchronized event-tracking data to evaluate team performance.
- Validate, automate, and monitor quantitative models utilizing statistics and machine learning.

This role requires you to have:
- Professional experience in sport with an understanding of football demands.
- Experience with optical/broadcast tracking data for creating actionable insights.
- Proficiency in R/Python for data processing and modelling.
- Experience with SQL and cloud computing for machine learning automation.
- Understanding of football sufficient to discuss and develop models.
