In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Data Products.
- Lead implementation reviews and oversee data product deliveries.
- Evaluate and recommend advanced tools and technologies.
- Implement best practices for data engineering.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering staff.
- Ensure adherence to data security principles and secure architectural practices.
- Apply DevOps practices and manage CI/CD pipelines.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
- Manage data custodianship governance activities.

You would benefit from having:
- Cloud platforms experience (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS)
- SQL and data warehouse technologies (BigQuery)
- Programming experience in any language
- Experience coaching junior engineers
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, containerisation)
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Relevant certifications in data engineering or cloud platforms
