LV= Life and Pensions is looking for a Senior Engineer specializing in Databricks to join their Data Office. The position involves supporting the Single Customer View (SCV) design and integration across various platforms. This role plays a significant part within the Data Office leadership team, requiring excellent stakeholder management skills to bridge business and technical needs.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Lead engineer for Databricks, setting standards and best practices
  • Design and document the Single Customer View (SCV), ensuring business value
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to convert business data needs into technical requirements
  • Maintain SCV integrity and seek value enhancement continually
  • Prioritize data requests efficiently to meet business demands
  • Ensure data products align with technical standards and provide quality assurance
  • Act as SCV subject matter expert supporting projects
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams, sharing best practices
  • Document and manage data processes, ensuring compliance with governance protocols

This role requires you to have:

  • Demonstrable experience with Databricks and Azure data platforms
  • Knowledge in Data Lake/Warehousing and Master Data Management
  • Understanding of ETL processes and programming languages
  • Awareness of UK GDPR and privacy regulations
  • Experience with data security and quality assurance processes
  • Effective communication for non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work accurately in fast-paced environments
  • Capability to build relationships with onshore and offshore teams
