Millennium Management is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist for its equities investment group in London. The role involves leveraging technical skills and financial insights to analyze a broad array of structured and unstructured datasets. The Data Scientist will provide valuable data-driven solutions and contribute to the investment process.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Analyze, manage, and store extensive datasets from various market and alternative data vendors.
- Provide data insights to investment teams including portfolio managers and analysts.
- Explore and mine alternative datasets to identify signals and value.
- Programmatically tag, clean, and normalize large datasets.
- Back test datasets for correlations with company KPIs.
- Collaborate with the data sourcing team to identify new data products and vendors.
- Develop data analysis tools and libraries with the data science team.
- Build visualization dashboards to present insights.
This role requires you to have:
- BS, MS, or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related fields
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial data science
- Minimum of 2 years of Python programming experience
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with ETL processes and API construction
- Knowledge of company fundamental financial metrics
