The Money and Pensions Service, based in Bedford, offers an opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about data to join their team as a BI Analyst. This role is essential for driving data-driven decision-making and improving the efficiency of debt advice services. The team is focused on providing valuable insights that will shape organizational strategies.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Analyze current systems and operational procedures
• Understand business objectives of the Debt Team and the larger organization
• Gather data from internal and external sources including suppliers and clients
• Perform data cleaning, modeling, transformation, and analysis
• Enhance the quality of stored information and review data collection processes
• Develop and refine dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI
• Ensure compliance with data collection and security policies
• Employ statistical models to interpret data and identify challenges and opportunities
• Present insights and visual stories with recommendations to management
• Monitor the success of changes through key performance indicators

This role requires you to have:

• Experience in mathematics or statistics
• At least 2 years in a statistics or analytical role
• Certification or equivalent experience in data/BI analysis
• Proficiency with PowerBI
• Knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Azure databases
• Competence in statistical and mathematical models
• Strong database and spreadsheet skills including Excel or Google Sheets
• Effective communication skills for bridging technical and business needs
• Ability to translate complex data into understandable presentations
