Morningstar is searching for a Data Engineer to join their team, where the role involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. This position works closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure data systems meet business requirements, supporting the integration of various data sources and maintaining data quality, security, and performance.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for large data volumes.
- Integrate data from multiple sources into unified storage solutions.
- Collaborate with DevOps on cloud infrastructure management for data storage.
- Optimize data storage, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Design and implement data models for analytics and reporting.
- Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, and compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and meet data requirements.
- Monitor performance of data pipelines and employ optimizations.
- Generate and update documentation on data pipelines and architecture.
- Adhere to data engineering best practices such as versioning and automation.

This role requires you to have:
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
