The role of Data Provenance Analyst is key to enhancing data reliability and promoting transparency. The collaborative team aims to standardize data practices and engage with stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making is robust and trusted.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Conduct data provenance activities in line with established standards.
  • Implement and uphold data provenance standards to maintain data traceability and lineage.
  • Lead efforts to identify authoritative data sources to improve data reliability.
  • Assist with master and reference data strategies to benefit the business.
  • Ensure adherence to Ofgem Data Best Practices and industry standards.
  • Support training and data literacy programs for staff education in data provenance.
  • Develop and track KPIs for data provenance and generate reports for management.

This role requires you to have:

  • Experience in data provenance including data sourcing, mapping, transformation, and lineage.
  • Familiarity with Master or Reference Data Management.
  • Strong understanding of data governance and management.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities to convey complex concepts to varied audiences.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize tasks based on business value.

You would benefit from having:

  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Capacity for self-motivation and creative problem-solving.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science/Information Management or equivalent experience.
