Based in London and Swindon, the company is expanding due to rapid growth and seeks a MidLevel Data Engineer to join the Data and Engineering team. This role supports the multi-team structure, fostering collaboration among Creative, Advertising, Data Analysis, and Technical teams.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Develop data pipelines and systems for analytics and BI systems.
- Document system architecture and data mappings.
- Automate manual data processes for scalability.
- Ensure adherence to best practice guidelines.
- Write and maintain secure, efficient code.
- Manage service operations and troubleshoot production issues.
- Prioritize and fulfill feature requests.
- Identify data flow optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Implement data quality assurance and anomaly detection processes.
- Support reusable business intelligence report development.

This role requires you to have:
- Proficiency in Python development
- Strong software engineering background
- Problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Independence and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of data modelling patterns and standards
- Understanding of data security and governance
- SQL and relational database management
- Experience with API implementation and integration
- Familiarity with validation libraries such as Marshmallow or Pydantic
- Expertise in Pandas or similar libraries
- Experience with Airflow
- Linux operating systems knowledge
- DevOps proficiency
- Proficiency with code versioning tools like GIT/GitHub
