Perch Group is looking for a Data Engineer to help transition their hosted SQL server to Azure in their Technical Delivery team. The role focuses on solving business problems with technical solutions and improving existing data engineering capabilities. The team is dedicated to implementing innovative technology stacks using Azure's modern tools.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Implement best practices for data management within the company's databases.
- Translate high-level data solutions into detailed designs and work packages.
- Ensure quality and efficiency in the data platform, with a focus on reusability and performance optimization.
- Develop complex, secure, and high-quality data ETL from diverse sources.
- Design and build data observability and quality into all ETL processes, promoting self-testing pipelines.

This role requires you to have:
- Experience in designing and deploying data ETL packages.
- Proficiency in T-SQL and SSIS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Expertise in data quality and governance.
- Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Unit and Integration testing.
You would benefit from having:
- Experience with Data Lake - Delta Lake design pattern in Azure.
- Proficiency in using Azure Active Directory for identity management.
- Experience in building CICD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
The role requires full-time in-person attendance, with a Monday to Friday schedule.
