Practice Plus Group Hospital, Birmingham is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to enhance their Information Service at a new hospital in Edgbaston. Opening in September 2024 to NHS and private patients, this role involves ensuring data integrity, delivering in-depth analysis, and supporting management decisions through significant reporting.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Prepare operational and performance management reports for key stakeholders such as CCGs and NHS Trusts.
  • Ensure data quality by working with sub-contractors and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with finance teams for accurate invoicing through precise data management.
  • Provide trend, benchmarking, and modelling information for strategic decisions.
  • Serve as a reference for national and local data standards.
  • Lead on report preparation for external stakeholders and commissioners.
  • Ensure compliance with data quality and security standards.
  • Support site data champions to enhance data entry and collection.
  • Act as the main contact for data quality and reporting queries within the hospital.

This role requires you to have:

  • Relevant degree or advanced qualifications in data analysis or a related field.
  • Experience in SQL environments and advanced skills in Access, Excel (including pivot tables), and SQL Server.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex data sets, ensuring accuracy and quality.

You would benefit from having:

  • Experience in healthcare data quality or NHS statutory returns.
  • Knowledge of NCRS or similar high-level data systems.
