Senior Data Engineer

RBC is offering a key role in their Wealth Management Europe division, working within a collaborative environment. The Senior Data Engineer will improve data integrity and performance by managing and evolving the Data Lakehouse platform using cutting-edge technology.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design and maintain the Data Lakehouse infrastructure using Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and Data Factory.
• Oversee data pipelines from acquisition to consumption for specific use cases.
• Apply SQL and PySpark expertise to enhance reporting and analytics.
• Ensure consistency across Dev, UAT, and Production environments.
• Guide team on technical design and implementations.
• Identify and implement improvements for the Data Analytics environment.
• Lead DevOps processes to optimize development and release methodologies.
• Automate processes and improve data delivery within the data lifecycle.
• Stay informed and address new data initiatives with innovative solutions.

This role requires you to have:

• Experience in data management, integration, and quality disciplines.
• Proficiency in SQL and data architectures like Data Warehouse and Data Lake.
• Understanding of T-SQL and emerging NoSQL solutions such as CosmosDB.
