Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, the main provider of acute and specialist care services in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, is hiring a Data Scientist. You will join the Information and Business Intelligence Department, a dynamic and forward-thinking team known for delivering business-critical reports and analysis. As a Data Scientist, you will work alongside the Senior Data Scientist and stakeholders, utilizing your expertise in data analytics and modeling to tackle challenges in healthcare. The trust values evidence-based decision making and continuous improvement, making this role integral to the organization's success.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Utilize data science methodologies and techniques to model and analyze healthcare information
  • Produce and report advanced analytics to support executive, strategic, and operational decision making
  • Develop forecasts and predictive tools to capture essential features of service dynamics
  • Collaborate with non-technical audiences to confidently present complex findings
  • Contribute to demand and capacity planning in a healthcare environment
  • Apply analytical approaches to performance management
  • Work with tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, AI/Machine Learning, PowerBI, SSIS/SSRS, and R
