Revenue Data Analyst

Caledonian Sleeper, a renowned brand known for its scenic overnight rail travel in the UK, is seeking a Revenue Data Analyst. This role plays a pivotal part in aiding the team responsible for revenue generation processes and improving analytics and automation post the transition to Scottish public sector ownership. The Revenue Data Analyst will support the Head of Retail and Pricing and collaborate with the Business Intelligence Lead, contributing to enhanced decision-making and operational efficiency.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Maintain schedule and formation changes in the Rail Industry Reservation system (RARS) to match the timetable and service formation.
• Ensure the latest Engineering Works position is reflected accurately in RARS.
• Identify and notify Guests affected by engineering works processed in the reservations system.
• Collaborate to enhance reporting capabilities for revenue, sales, and occupancy data.
• Monitor and investigate booking anomalies in in-house reports.
• Engage in ad hoc analytical tasks and testing as required.
• Oversee Revenue Optimisation software to maximize revenue.
• Generate and load reports from external systems into the data warehouse.
• Provide customer data to Transport Focus for post-trip surveys.
• Extract data from central Rail Industry systems into the Data Warehouse.
• Assist in automating data flows and developing insight-driven reporting suites.
• Investigate and document Credit Card chargebacks.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn SQL and dynamic revenue management in transport.
