In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Cleanse and preprocess raw text data for analysis and modelling.
- Analyze text corpora, like customer support history and knowledge bases.
- Extract actionable insights for project development and decision-making.
- Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources to the data lake.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, efficiency, and integrity during ingestion and transformation.
- Assist in indexing and vectorizing text data.
- Collaborate with data scientists on embedding methods.
- Align data engineering efforts with machine learning requirements.
- Contribute to project planning and strategy discussions in team meetings.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, data engineering, or computer science.
- 3+ years experience as a data engineer building data pipelines with Python or Spark.
- Strong foundation in computer science principles and statistical methods.
- Proficiency with cloud technology like AWS or Azure.
- Experience with data ingestion pipelines and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of big data tools such as Spark, Databricks, and Python.
- Basic understanding of machine learning techniques.
- Familiarity with natural language processing concepts.
- Knowledge of agile and scrum practices.
