Junior Data Scientist - Fraud

The fraud department, based in Manchester, is dedicated to combating fraud using innovative platforms and strategies to protect clients like Coca-Cola and Nestle. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you'll work on the front lines of fraud prevention, detection, and resolution.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Optimize automated decision making through decision rules and machine learning in THG Detect.
• Communicate fraud performance insights to both the fraud team and senior management.
• Identify and counteract fraud patterns with appropriate solutions.
• Develop and implement data pipelines to enhance fraud detection and automate reporting.
• Collaborate with Engineering and end-users to improve THG Detect platform capabilities.

This role requires you to have:

• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms
• Strong communication skills to translate data insights into business changes
