Analyst – BI Development & Data Modelling

Virgin Atlantic is looking for a data-savvy Analyst to drive their data-driven decision-making. The role involves developing and maintaining data models optimized for performance and integration, working in conjunction with the BI & Analytics team to align reporting initiatives. The position requires delivering high-quality BI reports and advocating for best practices in data visualization.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data models to support BI reporting needs.
• Collaborate with data engineers for seamless integration with existing architecture.
• Create and maintain BI reports and dashboards according to business requirements.
• Ensure reports and dashboards adhere to established standards and templates.
• Align data models and reporting initiatives with BI strategies.
• Contribute to the development of BI governance policies.
• Provide input on best practices for data modelling and reporting.
• Offer technical support and guidance to spoke analysts.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance skills in BI tools and technologies.
• Ensure data models and reports maintain high data quality and accuracy with clear documentation.

This role requires you to have:

• Experience in data modelling, BI reporting, and data analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven expertise in developing and maintaining performance-optimized data models.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
