The role focuses on owning and managing the company's data lake, involving the transformation processes and data integrations.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of the data lake with tools like Datadog.
- Develop and enforce practices for automated testing of ETL pipelines and data workflows.
- Manage and mentor the data engineering team, providing technical guidance and support.
- Act as a technical liaison to internal and external stakeholders, aligning engineering with business objectives.
- Oversee architecture and governance of the data lake, ensuring scalability and compliance.
- Foster innovation and learning, offering guidance on design patterns and cloud technologies.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of data platforms, pipelines, and processes.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define data engineering strategy aligned with business goals.
- Make decisions on architectural choices and tool selections based on evaluations.
- Partner with Business Intelligence teams to uphold high-quality data and optimize performance.

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in data platform management.
- Proficiency in monitoring tools like Datadog.
- 5+ years of experience using Python for ETL/ELT processes.

- Experience with data lakes and ETL platforms like Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong attention to detail in data quality and documentation.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
