Carnehill Joinery Ltd specializes in manufacturing and installing custom joinery items, operating across multiple sites in Ireland. With recent investments in an ERP system and automated manufacturing, the company aims to integrate real-time and historical data for comprehensive, rapid dissemination across all sectors.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and current system capabilities
  • Design and develop digital automation processes to optimize manufacturing and site installation operations
  • Liaise with third-party technical development teams
  • Compile and present project progress and outcomes reports to business managers
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including user support
  • Provide training and support to system users across the business

This role requires you to have:

  • Minimum of 2:2 Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Manufacturing Systems, or a related field
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C++
  • Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL for data management and retrieval
  • Understanding of fundamental concepts in data analytics and data visualization
  • Legally entitled to work in the Republic of Ireland

You would benefit from having:

  • Knowledge of data collection and analysis from production machinery, especially IoT systems
  • Experience in UX design and implementation for displaying real-time business process information
  • Knowledge of large-scale joinery production or similar manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with performance reporting tools
  • Ability in data analysis for real-time and performance data, including historical trend analysis
  • Experience or understanding of AI for predictive analysis
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

The successful candidate will lead this project in partnership with Northern Regional College under the InterTradeIreland Innovation Boost Programme. They will also have the opportunity to pursue a Post-Graduate Diploma at Queen’s University Belfast.
