ABN AMRO Clearing is establishing a specialized RegTech team as part of their core Data Science team, looking for a Lead Data Scientist to lead efforts in developing innovative solutions for regulatory reporting. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment focused on the financial markets, with a global network of offices and major exchange connections. The successful candidate will play a key role in technical leadership and strategy, collaborating with various teams to improve regulatory processes.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of data science solutions, from research to production deployment.
• Engage with senior management and stakeholders to align data science initiatives with business and regulatory goals.
• Lead and mentor a team of data scientists.
• Define and maintain the team's roadmap and ensure alignment with business priorities.
• Design the technical architecture for scalable and reliable data science solutions.
• Implement MLOps best practices, including monitoring and CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize models for accuracy and efficiency.
• Introduce GenAI/LLM tools to advance the RegTech vision.
• Translate regulatory guidelines into data science solutions and stay updated on developments.

This role requires you to have:

• MSc or PhD in a STEM field
• 6+ years of experience in developing data science solutions
• Leadership and team management experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Python, Git, and SQL/PySpark
• Strong understanding of machine learning techniques
• Experience with MLOps and productionizing ML models
• Curiosity in financial markets
