In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design and implement data pipelines and data stores for data acquisition and preparation.
• Apply data engineering standards to maintain data pipelines and manage ETL processes.
• Perform routine data quality checks and remediation.
• Design code scripts, verify, test, document, amend, and refactor moderately complex programs.
• Identify and resolve issues related to software development activities.
• Collaborate in work reviews with teams.
• Define and produce software modules needed for integration builds.
• Assess data integrity from multiple sources.
• Advise on data format and medium transformations.
• Ensure data availability, integrity, and searchability through formal data and metadata structures.
• Apply data modelling and design techniques based on detailed requirements.

This role requires you to have:

• NATO Secret clearance
• Data pipeline design and management
• Experience with data lakes and pipeline processes
• Experience with large dataset integration and optimization
• Familiarity with data engineering tools for data science and visualization
• Knowledge of data security best practices
• Experience with monitoring and logging for data pipelines

You would benefit from having:

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, unit/functional testing, and adherence to styling guides
