Eneco, committed to becoming CO2-neutral by 2035, is searching for a Data Scientist to join their Eneco Energy Trading (EET) department. This role supports their mission of 'sustainable energy for everyone', working within a dynamic team to drive innovation and sustainability in the North European energy market.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Research the impact of weather data on the energy portfolio.
- Develop and refine forecasting products to meet stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with IT and Operations teams for enhanced product scalability and reliability.
- Provide valuable insights to improve short-term trading strategies.
- Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders and team members.
This role comes with the following benefits:
- Gross annual salary between €85,000 and €125,000.

This role requires you to have:
- Strong background in meteorology and data science.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Python and data science libraries.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
You would benefit from having:
- Experience with software engineering or ML engineering concepts like MLOps.
- Experience with technologies such as Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake, Docker, and Azure Cloud.
- Knowledge of the energy markets.
