Finance Data Engineer

The role focuses on modernizing data management processes, breaking down data silos, and transitioning legacy systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams to develop efficient data models and centralized solutions within the banking domain.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Migrate MS Access databases and spreadsheets to a centralized SQL Server setup.
• Replace ad hoc workflows with automated, version-controlled pipelines.
• Collaborate with departments to eliminate data silos and ensure data-sharing solutions comply with standards.
• Develop scalable data models and optimize database structures.
• Implement ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, and Airflow.
• Establish Git-based version control workflows and enforce best practices.
• Train staff on new systems and resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with data solutions and safeguard sensitive data.

• Proven experience in Data Modeling and Advanced SQL.
• Experience in the banking domain with knowledge of financial products.
• Expertise in MS Access, MS Excel, Python, and Airflow.
• Strong knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
