ING is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Global Strategy & People Analytics team. The role focuses on building robust analytics products and data science models to facilitate informed decisions about ING employees. This position is integral to creating a supportive workplace environment through collaboration with various teams such as ING Tech & ING Analytics.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design, schedule, and optimize data processing pipelines using SQL and Python on an on-prem platform.
• Enhance data flow and establish new data sources for deployment.
• Address and resolve data issues to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Administer and guide the future roadmap of the platform.
• Assist team members with developing, testing, and deploying projects.
• Support the platform’s IT Risk team.

This role requires you to have:

• 2-3 years experience in data engineering
• Experience with data pipelines and optimization using Python and SQL
• Knowledge of data manipulation and transformation
• Understanding of software engineering best practices
• Familiarity with deployment and automation tools like Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
• Strong communication skills in English
