As a Junior Data Scientist, you will develop data science solutions to engage and convert more customers into fans, witnessing the fruits of your labor throughout Jumbo locations. The role involves employing advanced analytics to optimize store layouts, product selections, and operational decisions, deeply influencing customer satisfaction.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop data science products from initial data exploration to production-ready models.
• Engage in a variety of projects across logistics, marketing, formula, and procurement.
• Spend a significant amount of time on data preparation, exploration, analytics, and business intelligence.
• Implement machine learning techniques to improve decision-making processes.
• Work in Databricks (PySpark) on datasets for better product assortment estimation.
• Review and improve models related to loyalty offers and store layout differentiation.

This role requires you to have:

• MSc or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Econometrics, Data Science, or quantitative fields.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python and a keen interest in machine learning methods.
• Strong grasp of statistics and time series analysis.
• Good communication and cooperation skills.

You would benefit from having:

• Knowledge of PySpark, SQL, and R.
• Experience with optimization methods like LP/MILP.
• Experience with DataBricks and building data-tooling with PowerBI.
