LOT werving & selectie is assisting Ommnia Systems in the search for a (Junior) Data Engineer/Developer. Ommnia Systems is a dynamic and innovative organization at the forefront of new developments, focusing on the sustainability of buildings and machines using big data. As a Data Engineer/Developer, you will tackle challenges related to energy efficiency, data processing, and building monitoring.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Processing measurement data in an energy monitoring system, aiming to increase efficiency, reduce energy consumption, or improve building comfort.
• Building and setting up data infrastructure and logical dashboards.
• Creating rules and KPIs for analysis and maintenance interval management.
• Maintaining the network structure of the office environment and cloud servers.
• Working both in the office and occasionally at client locations.

This role requires you to have:

• ICT related HBO or WO education or ongoing studies in the field.
• Enthusiasm and motivation to learn and willingness to undergo additional training/courses.
• Knowledge of data networking (TCP/UDP) and protocols such as Modbus, BacNet, OPC UA, Sedona, Haystack, MQTT, etc., or a willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Fantom, Axon (SkySpark), Grafana, etc., or a readiness to learn.
• Understanding of building management systems, SCADA, Climate, and/or process automation is appreciated.
• Problem-solving orientation, initiative, and strong communication skills.
