The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) plays a crucial role in chemical disarmament and preventing the resurgence of chemical weapons. The Verification Division is integral, handling inspections, declarations, and scientific components to uphold the organisation's objectives. The Data Analytics, Reporting, and Quality Control Section within the Declarations Branch is pivotal in enhancing analysis and supporting verification processes.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Assist in analysis and planning for the Verification Information System (VIS) Programme.
  • Perform and oversee data analysis tasks related to verification activities.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain data analysis models and tools.
  • Coordinate quality control activities for verification data and VIS modules.
  • Develop user manuals, training materials, and documentation for VIS Programme.
  • Manage Plant Site Selection process, ensuring compliance with the Chemical Weapons Convention.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of data quality procedures.
  • Coordinate reporting activities using Business Intelligence tools.
  • Contribute to DEB reports on VIS and other verification-related issues.
