Provincie Zuid-Holland is seeking a skilled professional to join their dynamic and friendly team within the Regie Omgevingsbeleid assignment. As a Senior Geo Data Engineer, the primary objective is to convert complex data into information products to guide policy decisions. The role involves working with innovative tools in a modern Microsoft environment to support the province’s key objectives in areas such as energy transition and climate.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Integrate, manage, and make data accessible for policy decision-making.
• Develop scripts and algorithms using Python and SQL to organize data in a datalakehouse.
• Utilize Databricks and Azure DevOps for data processing and analysis.
• Perform analyses for policy reviews on various themes including agriculture and water quality.
• Identify and apply trends in geo-information.
• Collaborate with information architects, data specialists, policy officers, and project leaders.
