Riverflex presents an exciting opportunity for a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead data modeling efforts and improve business intelligence mechanisms within a client's framework. This role is pivotal in steering a team of SQL Data Engineers, focusing on dbt model application and Power BI optimization through strategic data modeling. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Lead the creation and upkeep of scalable data models for BI use cases to align with company goals.
• Develop and apply best practices for dbt model creation and manage project structures and documentation.
• Work with stakeholders to frame problem statements and transform business needs into data models and analytical solutions.
• Optimize Power BI performance using advanced data modeling, DAX computations, and data load techniques.
• Offer leadership and guidance to a team of SQL Data Engineers, nurturing a continuous learning culture.
• Document and implement data modeling guidelines and procedures to maintain data integrity and uniformity.
• Keep abreast with industry innovations and best practices in data modeling and BI tools.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in data modeling, data engineering, or analytics engineering.
• Advanced SQL expertise for complex query optimization and tuning.
• Comprehensive experience with dbt for model development and management.
• Production experience with Databricks.
• Proficiency in Power BI including data modeling, DAX, and optimization.
• Ability to communicate effectively and lead teams in project delivery.

The role starts on 1st April 2025 and offers a 9-month contract with possible extensions. The job is based in Amsterdam, requiring two office days per week.
