Samsung Electronics, a leader in innovative technology, seeks a Senior Data Engineer for their Schiphol office. This role focuses on building advanced data solutions and supporting data-driven decision making within the Central Data Marketing team. The Senior Data Engineer will collaborate closely with business units and analytics teams to transform data into actionable insights.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance data pipelines and workflows, ensuring seamless integration across platforms like GCP and Azure.
  • Transform raw data into structured datasets for analysts and stakeholders.
  • Implement automated ETL processes to maintain data integrity.
  • Guide junior engineers in pipeline maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Manage data warehouse governance and access controls.
  • Support the creation of interactive dashboards using BI tools.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to align data solutions with business goals.

This role requires you to have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data tools like Airflow and dbt.
  • Experience with cloud platforms GCP and Azure.
  • Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and Linux.
  • Professional proficiency in English and strong communication skills.

You would benefit from having:

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
