NMBU is offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist to join their Smart Campus initiative, aimed at optimizing resource usage and minimizing environmental impact through enhanced insights into building and space utilization. The role involves collaborating with a dynamic team to transform data usage on campus, utilizing Microsoft Azure's capabilities.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop AI/machine learning strategies for #SC Analytics.
• Conduct preliminary studies and needs assessment for Campus Ås.
• Create relevant analyses and services, documentation, processes, and procedures.
• Develop a Proof of Concept analysis product for the platform.
• Design processes for ML Ops environment in Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate closely with the development team on product rollout in production environment.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for future work.

This role requires you to have:

• Advanced university-level education in data science or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge and experience in structuring, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets.
• Proficiency in Norwegian/Scandinavian and English, both oral and written.

You would benefit from having:

• Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar.
• Programming skills, preferably in Python.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms for time series analysis and large datasets.
• Familiarity with IoT, sensor data, and building technology.
• Knowledge of building ontologies and data models.
• Familiarity with digital building models (BIM) and open formats (IFC).
• Ability to communicate complex analyses clearly.
